About Rev Barnabas
Rev Barnabas Chong is an ordained minister in TRAC Singapore, currently serving in Christ Methodist Church as a member of the pastoral team. His focus is in outreach & healing ministry and mobilizing the church to be a witness and to live out God’s destiny for their lives. His passion is to see the renewal and revival of the church, and transformation of lives. He is also the Chairman of TRAC Healing Ministry, an initiative started in 2014, to train healing ministers and also provide them with opportunities to pray for the sick. Prior to entering into full-time pastoral ministry, Pastor Barnabas was trained in accounting and worked briefly as an auditor in Ernst & Young Singapore.
About Rev (Ms) Yong Wai Yin
Rev Yong Wai Yin was an accountant before she became a Methodist Minister. She received her M.Div (STM) and is currently serving as the Pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, Penang. Pastor Yong’s passion is to help believers experience renewal and transformation through means of spiritual formation and the cultivation of the inner life with God. She was one of the facilitators of TRAC Institute for Christian Ministry (ICM)’s Life Giving Tools (LGT) Series in 2014. In addition to her pulpit and pastoral ministry work, Pastor Yong is currently conducting The Good & Beautiful Series of studies in Penang Trinity with various groups.
Empowered to Influence
In Matthew 5:13 and 14, the Lord gives His Church a mandate to be “salt of the earth” and “light of the world”. However many believers are not able to live out this mandate, not because they have not been equipped but that most have a wrong mindset to what spirituality is. This seminar aims to change this mindset through 7 paradigm shifts. As participants go through these paradigm shifts, they would be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live out their spirituality and in so influence and change the people and things around them, thus enabling them to function effectively as salt and light.
About Ken Chua
Ken is based in Singapore and has served in various missions organizations with focus on mobilizing resources for field work. He is a mentor to Christians in the market place, and has spoken at conferences in Asia and South Africa. Ken has won distinguished management and leadership awards in the marketplace, but his ultimate reward is being able to help Christian professionals discover their call in the marketplace and their roles in God’s missionary plan.
Ken is married to his lovely wife, Sharlene. They have a son (age 22) , and a daughter (age 19).
Children’s Program
A Mini VBS-like program will run in parallel for children 3-12. Come for a fun filled time of games, and learning for the children as well!
About David Lim
David is a professional children entertainer by God’s call since 1996 and serves many churches, Christian camps and evangelistic outreach programmes to minister to families. He has also trained people who work with children by equipping them with hands-on skills to help them communicate better with children. He is a member of Burmah Road Gospel Hall in Penang where he grew up and served as the Sunday School Superintendent for eight years. Married with two lovely daughters, David is also the Substitute Teaching Leader of the Penang Evening Men’s Bible Study Fellowship.

Penang Trinity will be hosting the annual RBC Ministries Bible Conference next month.”Keeping the Faith – Till the End” will feature Bishop Emeritus Robert Solomon who will preach from the book of Timothy. Bishop Solomon last spoke at our 50th Anniversary in 2007, and he will be speaking at our Sunday Worship Services on October 26.
Lunch packs will be sold at the conference at Trinity. As hosts, please park your vehicles at GYM, the Manse, Bethel so that our guests will have sufficient parking lots at the church compound.
