Part Time Property Management Officer

Job brief
We are looking for a prudent Part Time Property Management Officer to be responsible for the direct management of facilities and assets within the purview of the Property Management Committee (PMC) of Trinity Methodist Church Penang (The Church). The goal is to maximise the ministry value of our facilities, to be good stewards of assets and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Engage vendors on the approved vendors’ list for various areas of service (air conditioning maintenance, electrical/wiring maintenance, pest control, major cleaning services providers etc).
• Perform bi-weekly inspection of facilities based on set list of evaluation criteria.
• Respond to feedback forms available at all church facilities.
• Onsite supervision and oversight especially for major repairs/projects, ensuring work is completed based on agreed scope of work, and to highlight gaps and or variation orders where applicable.
• Execute, review and propose maintenance plans under the purview of the PMC (includes vehicles owned by the church).
• Provide inputs to annual budgets by providing forecast based on historical data and where applicable, a reasonable projection of budget.
• To maintain maintenance records, including copies of warranty cards, receipts, quotes, manuals of assets where applicable.

Requirements

• A passion to ensure proper stewardship of the assets and properties of the church.
• Proven work experience in property management.
• Understand property management and its financial aspects.
• Knowledge of best practices and policies for property management (safety requirements)
• Basic Knowledge in electrical wiring and plumbing work is an added advantage
• Competency in MS Office and Google Drive
• Cost conscious in project/maintenance spending proposals
• Good interpersonal skills with strong communication and presentation skills
• Well organized with excellent time management skills
