Empowered to Influence
In Matthew 5:13 and 14, the Lord gives His Church a mandate to be “salt of the earth” and “light of the world”. However many believers are not able to live out this mandate, not because they have not been equipped but that most have a wrong mindset to what spirituality is. This seminar aims to change this mindset through 7 paradigm shifts. As participants go through these paradigm shifts, they would be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live out their spirituality and in so influence and change the people and things around them, thus enabling them to function effectively as salt and light.
About Ken Chua
Ken is based in Singapore and has served in various missions organizations with focus on mobilizing resources for field work. He is a mentor to Christians in the market place, and has spoken at conferences in Asia and South Africa. Ken has won distinguished management and leadership awards in the marketplace, but his ultimate reward is being able to help Christian professionals discover their call in the marketplace and their roles in God’s missionary plan.
Ken is married to his lovely wife, Sharlene. They have a son (age 22) , and a daughter (age 19).
Children’s Program
A Mini VBS-like program will run in parallel for children 3-12. Come for a fun filled time of games, and learning for the children as well!
About David Lim
David is a professional children entertainer by God’s call since 1996 and serves many churches, Christian camps and evangelistic outreach programmes to minister to families. He has also trained people who work with children by equipping them with hands-on skills to help them communicate better with children. He is a member of Burmah Road Gospel Hall in Penang where he grew up and served as the Sunday School Superintendent for eight years. Married with two lovely daughters, David is also the Substitute Teaching Leader of the Penang Evening Men’s Bible Study Fellowship.
